The contest is open to everyone who wants to participate, in couple in the limit of the categories defined here below. Professional dancers or dance teachers are not allowed to participate. The jury has the right to deny the access to the contest to all those does not satisfy above prerequisites.

The candidates shall be allowed to participate in only one of the following categories:

• Juvenile: with age limit of twelve.
• Adults: from thirteen and beyond.

The contest will be held during EuroFeria 2011 in the Caseta “La Cordobesa”. The schedule of the contest will be available on our website, facebook oficial wall or on simple email request.

Professional dancers or dance teachers are not allowed to participate. The jury has the right to deny the access to the contest to all those does not satisfy above prerequisites.

The candidates shall be allowed to participate in only one of the following categories:

• Juvenile: with age limit of twelve.
• Adults: from thirteen and beyond.

Each participant shall wear typical folk clothes corresponding to the context and the nature of the contest. The Jury shall have the right to deny the access to the contest to anyone who does not match either above prerequisites or clothing requirements. The enrolment and the participation to the contest implies the total acceptance of the present rule Base (download here ⇓).

The contest will be held during EuroFeria 2011 in the Caseta “La Cordobesa”. The schedule of the contest will be available on our website, facebook oficial wall or on simple email request.

The video clip shall be published on Youtube under the heading "Concours Euroferia 2011" followed by your name (and for the winning videos - please send an extra copy to the organization).

• Duration should be about 10 to 15 minutes in high quality (preferable in H.D.).
• On no account any defamation of the events dignity is acceptable. As to the rest – let there be no limit or restraint to your creativity and imagination.
• Prizes will be awarded according to the number of video clip call ups on Youtube till September 30th noon.
• The minimum numbers of viewers for the two winning clips have to surpass 3.000 and 2.000 respectively.

PRIZES

• 1 prize: 500 €
• 2 prize: 250 €
• 3 to 5 prize: A magnificent Photo Book edition of EuroFeria.

The first three winning video-clips will be published under your name on our web site.

The Association Amigos de las Oliveras de Cieza (Murcia), which has been organizing The World Championship of Olive Stone Spitting to take place on the last Friday in August each year since 1995, is coming back to The European Capital to test the strength of the lungs of the estimated 200,000 visitors to Euroferia 2011.

On Saturday 4 June, starting at 12:33 pm, the Association has arranged for the Second European Championship of Olive Stone Spitting to be held here in Brussels. This will be the second most important date in the international calendar of this new fair-ground sport which originated in Cieza. Entry is free – anyone can participate and enjoy finding out just how far he can spit an olive stone with the strength of his lungs. The current world record stands at 21,32 metres.

Following the success of this sport which was demonstrated at the Euroferia 2009 site at the Brussels Atomium, Euroferia 2011 has been chosen by the Association to host for the third time this international competition. Olive stone spitting is not unknown throughout the world – exhibitions have already been given in New York (2006), Munich (2007) and Beijing (2008).

The Association will occupy a stand at Euroferia 2011 from 1 June - 5 June which will feature the “olives chafás” of Cieza – a variety of olive which is listed as a traditional foodstuff by the EU - as well as giving information about tourism and culture in Cieza.

The “Fiesta del Lanzamiento de Huesos de Oliva” is a unique event which, like the famous “Tomatina de Buñol”, attracts not only thousands of participants and onlookers but also the attention of the international press. You can find more information on the official website: www.lanzahuesos.es

The EuroFeria Andaluza of Brussels invites you to take part in its annual competition:

“Affiches EuroFeria Andaluza”

Format: A2 (420 x 594 mm) or A3 (297 x 420 mm).

Standards: Leave a space or insert “EuroFeria Andaluza” in large letters and leave a space of +/- 20% to insert the logos and text (Brussels, Atomium, year and date etc.)

Topics: Farolillos, European and Andalusian flags, Andalusian horses, Sevillian dancers…

Prize: 500€ + printing and distribution of more than 300.000 copies (with the signature of the artist), prize-giving ceremony and appearance of the poster in the press and other media.

Date limit: Entries can be submitted thoughout the year. The committee chooses the winning entry on 2012, 1 January before the EuroFeria.
